Captain Randy got us in the action all morning and when it was all said and done we landed some nice fish! Truly lifelong memories made that day. Super nice boat and Randy managed the whole trip very well. If I come back, I'll charter with Down South again!

So worth it! The captain was great! We took a group of 8 with a wide range of kids (mostly teens) and had an amazing time. Several people caught multiple fish, we saw dolphins and sea turtles nearby, and the captain was very accommodating. Loved the music and vibe and the boat ride was so fun the kids felt it was worth it for that alone. It was our first time deep sea fishing and it exceeded our expectations!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful day on the water! Randy was knowledgeable and took us to several excellent snorkeling spots around the island and some great spots to relax on the beach and unwind!

Wow, what a great fishing adventure. A couple trophy fish. Randy did a great job and worked really hard to make it a special day. His boat was well maintained and comfortable to ride on in rough seas.

Absolutely epic experience! Randy is an expert in finding the best spots for the biggest fish. The size of the Wahoo we caught was massive! Would highly recommend 10/10.

The best charter we have been out on! The boat was beyond luxury and the best riding boat we have ever been on! Both of our trips with them were well worth the money! Put us on fish and took us on an AMAZING snorkeling and lobster trip!!

Highly recommend Capt. Randy and Down South Charters! Capt. Randy is super knowledgeable of the local fishery and great with kids. The 36ft Yellowfin he runs is a Cadillac on the water and very comfortable for all. Also, don’t forget to ask him about his Down South Charter fishing shirts. We bought four for souvenir swag.

Captain Randy is top notch. We chose the "Choose Your Own Adventure" afternoon boat day and trusted in his expertise to guide us. It was absolutely the right move giving us great views, snorkeling, and pretty neat fun facts about the area and the wildlife. Absolutely recommend for families with kids.

We were able to squeeze in a trip with Captain Randy after weather prevented us from our original plans. We had an amazing time. Randy was super personable and engaging. His playlist was off the charts. My wife and I really enjoyed sitting back and enjoying the water. Our Son and Nephew both reeled in big fish. Randy did a great time coaching them and they had a wonderful experience. We will definitely book a trip with Randy the next time we want to get out on the water.

Great guided fishing experience!!! We learned a lot about how track where the fish are and got to see an Orca while trolling for Mahi Mahi. Such a fun time!

Randy is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a group of 6 ( 2 adults 4 kids ) he definitely put in his efforts to get us on fish. We caught a variety of fish from tuna mackerel and a baracuda. We hooked into a big fish(most likely a shark) at the end of our charter and we're unable to bring it in after a pretty long fight. Our time was up and as we were reeling in the last line a mahi came up and tried to grab the bait right behind the boat. Even with us being past our time Randy quickly got lines back in the water for one more chance to try and catch it. We all had a great time and its something the kids talked about for the rest of the vacation. 10 out of 10 recommend fishing with down south charters.

Great experience! Captain Randy was great!! Offered to cater the trip to whatever we wanted to do. We started by, cruising around to take in the beautiful coastline, opened it up a bit to just cruise and ended up jumping in and snorkeling along side Captain Randy. We had a great time & were sad to see the hours end so soon…hindsight we would have done the 8 hour excursion instead of the four!

“One of a kind” AMAZING experience!!! What another AMAZING trip with Captain Randy and Down South Charters!! This was our second trip with Captain Randy and boy did it not disappoint! Last year we wanted to do some swimming, snorkeling and catch a few fish and Randy delivered! He listened to what we wanted to experience and tailored a perfect adventure for us! This year the kids were begging for another trip with Captain Randy but wanted to catch some bigger fish, things we’ve never caught before, and what an awesome experience it was to catch two large mahi, a tuna, and a barracuda! Captain Randy filleted the tuna and Mahi when we got back to the dock and it was soo cool to see the kids eat what we had caught!! We have had 2 amazing experiences and would absolutely recommend Captain Randy and Down South Charters if you are looking for a “one of a kind” experience! We booked a private charter with Randy. We had a total of 8 people (4 adults, 4 kids). The boat is very spacious, spectacularly clean, well appointed and fast!!

This trip was amazing!!! Randy made sure we saw every cool sea animal possible when we snorkeled!! He dove down for us to grab a lobster, pointed at all the sea turtles & sting rays, & made sure the group stayed together, it was an incredible experience. Beyond that, he was a great captain who was super accommodating. He had snorkel gear we could borrow, waters & fruit were there for us too. We also saw an iguana & a school of barracudas before we even left the dock. Would 100% recommend!!

Had an absolute blast! My fiancé is pregnant so we had some concerns about whether or not the ride would be too rough for her and our baby. Randy had no problem adapting a cruise that perfectly fit our needs. A nice slow tour the whole way through with some history lessons about the island and its landmarks along the way. We stopped and snorkeled at one of the reefs and it was beautiful! What an experience to see a coral reef up close and all the different fish and sea life! We went by some shoreline that had iguanas perched in the mangroves and saw sea turtles poke their heads out throughout the ride. Randy was kind, considerate, and accommodating. When we come back we’ll definitely go to him again!

We had a wonderful time with Captain Randy on a six hour fishing charter. Details and booking instructions were super easy and the boat was stocked and ready for us. No work required except catching! We were searching for tuna or mahi and spent the majority of the day without much luck, but being on the water itself was just magical regardless and worth it alone. In the end, we hooked and landed two blackfin tuna at the same exact time! Truly an incredible reel into the boat and one blackfin was even “trophy” sized which thrilled us all. Randy couldn’t have been nicer and took care of all the fish cleaning and packaging for us. We are the best tuna of my life for dinner the next day, and brought the other 20 pounds back with us frozen solid in a cooler. Highlight of our trip and can’t wait to be back!

We took two trips with Down South Charters while in St. Croix on a family vacation. The fishing was awesome even for beginners. The second day was sight seeing and snorkeling. Randy's knowledge of the island is incredible and his fishing experience is second to none. We will definitely be back.

Had a great time during our time in St. Croix with Down South Charters. Capt Randy had everything set up for a successful day at see. We released them all but we caught various species while trolling around the island. He made sure to give very helpful advice and techniques to all levels of fishers onboard. We even got a chance to take a break to snorkel. Highly recommend this charter for a great family experience.
